Support for the Common Core State Standards among those with school-aged children has dropped significantly, according to a new poll from Rasmussen Reports. The poll found only 34 percent of American adults with children of elementary or secondary school age favorrequiring all schools nationwide to meet the same Common Core education standards, which is an18-point drop from 52 percent in early November of last year.Nearly half -- 47 percent -- oppose the implementation of the standards.

The poll found 54 percent of likely voters believe there's too much emphasis on standardized tests in American schools, a number that's jumped 5 points since November. Only 17 percent said there was not enough emphasis on standardized tests in schools.
