All day lawmakers have been piecing together their thoughts on Tuesday's surprise resignation of Lt. Gov. Jennifer Carroll.
Have a look at the video reactions here of five representatives: Rouson, Fasano, Ray, McBurney, Adkins and Jones.
Earlier, Republican Party of Florida Chairman Lenny Curry released his own statement, saying he was saddened by the turn of events resulting in Carroll's resignation.
"Lieutenant Governor Carroll has been a great leader for our party and our state. She was a terrific advocate for Florida's military and economic development efforts. Her resignation is disappointing, but she made the right decision to protect both her family and the work she has done to move our state forward over the last few years."
Meanwhile, Attorney General Pam Bondi has issued the following statement regarding the multistate, multi-agency investigation, called Reveal the Deal, into Allied Veterans of the World:
It is shameful that Allied Veterans of the World allegedly attempted to use the guise of a charitable organization to help veterans in order to lend credibility to this $300 million illegal gambling scheme, stated Attorney General Pam Bondi. The Office of Statewide Prosecution will be filing formal charges related to illegal gambling, racketeering and money laundering, and they will prosecute the participants in the scheme to the fullest extent of the law."
