Ed Dean, a senior editor with Sunshine State News and the No. 1 statewide political radio talk-show host focused on Florida politics, will be providing election night coverage as the results come in on Tuesday.

Dean will be recording live in Jacksonville through WBOB 600 AM and 100.3 FM starting at 7 pm and going through the night. The show can be listened to here.

“We’ll be covering the presidential race of course but we’ll also be looking at key state and local races,” Dean said. “Outside of the presidential race and the U.S. Senate race, there are some important proposed amendments to the state constitution and a number of close congressional and legislative races across the state and in Northeast Florida.”

Besides his responsibilities for Sunshine State News, Dean hosts a radio show focusing on Florida politics, aired across the state. Starting this week, Dean also hosts a show on WBOB which runs from 7am-9am each weekday.

Dean will be joined by Sunshine State News’ own Kevin Derby, who is originally from Jacksonville, on Tuesday night.

“Florida’s been important in recent presidential elections and this year’s no exception,” said Derby. “We’ll also look at statewide races and elections on the First Coast on Tuesday night.”

Dean's shows can be heard in Jacksonville, Tampa Bay, Daytona Beach, Orlando, the Space Coast, the Treasure Coast and South Florida from West Palm Beach to Miami. It can also be heard in Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina.

Dean leads Sunshine State News’ “Florida Minute,” a news update which is broadcast on several radio stations across the state on a daily basis. The “Florida Minute" from Sunshine State News can be heard in Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Daytona Beach, Ocala, Gainesville, Tampa, all of the Space Coast, all of the Treasure Coast and will soon be expanding to Southwest Florida.
