In a brief meeting with reporters Wednesday, Gov. Rick Scott said he reached out to Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick to let him know Florida is prepared to send law enforcement and emergency teams to help Boston. See the video below.
All flags in the state of Florida have been lowered to half staff around the state Capitol in honor of the victims of those explosions.
The blasts killed three people and hurt more than 175 on Monday.

I reached out to Gov. Patrick and let him know that we stand ready to be helpful, whether its law enforcement, whether its our emergency management teams, whether its the National Guard. So right now weve not been asked to do anything.
Flags at government buildings will remain at half staff until sunset on April 20.
On Monday the governor issued a statement following the marathon finish-line bombings:
"Our hearts and prayers go out to the people of Boston," Scott said. "I've asked the Florida Division of Emergency Management to be on standby to provide any assistance needed to help first responders on the ground in Boston.The Florida Department of Law Enforcement also stands ready to provide any support services needed."
