I wanted to be a social worker so I could help people.

Getting the "Road to Independence" legislation passed back in 2000.

I can't honestly think of one.
Who in state government do you most admire?
Toni Jennings because she was the first female lieutenant governor and a great example for women.
Who in all the world do you most admire?
Dolly Parton, because she came from humble beginnings and didn't let anything stand in her way.
Who is your favorite lawmaker of the opposite party and why?
The late President John Kennedy, because he inspired a nation.
What do you remember as being your wackiest constituent request?
A woman once called my office and needed a car. I guess she thought we had spare ones to give away.
What is your favorite place in the world?
Paris. I love everything about that city.
What is your least favorite household chore?
Ironing.I think I'd rather do anything else.
