What did you want to be when you were growing up?
My grandmother worked for Claude Pepper, so I always wanted to be a politician.
What do you consider to be your biggest political achievement?
I have really worked hard since I was elected to fix my principles and get a clear understanding of my constituents' needs.
What was your biggest political faux pas?
I'm not sure I've had any faux pas, but I know that I've spent a lot of time learning how the process works up here.
Who in state government do you most admire?
Former Gov. Bob Graham and former Sen. Phil Lewis. I thought both men were great leaders and had great vision on where to take the state. They both also had great concerns for the environment.
Who in all the world do you most admire?
My wife and my children. I'm truly blessed with a wonderful family.
Who is your favorite lawmaker of the opposite party and why?
I honestly don't have one.
What do you remember as being your wackiest constituent request?
I really have no idea.
What is your favorite place in the world?
My home. I really enjoy spending time with my family.
What is your least favorite household chore?
Taking out the cat's litter box.
