What did you want to be when you were growing up ?

When I speak to youth groups I tell them not to get to solidly fixed on one thing they'd like to be because life has a lot of interesting twists and turns.

What do you consider to be your biggest political achievement ?

I was elected to office in a District that very few people thought I could win and I beat the odds.

What was your biggest political faux pas ?

I say what I mean and mean what I say. Some people consider me to be a bit to outspoken but if I have something to say about an issue I'll be heard.

Who in state government do you most admire ?

Sen. Dan Gelber, he was my first floor leader and he is always focused and gets things done.

Who in all the world do you most admire ?

President Obama because of what's he's able to accomplish at a national level. He's very strong and a courageous leader.

Who is your favorite lawmaker of the opposite party and why ?

Curt Kaiser, he was a former legislator who had the ability to get his political agenda accomplished while workling with both sides of the aisle.

Wht do you remember as being your wackiest constituent request ?

You'd have to ask my staff because they handle most of the requests. But, I'd say most people don't know what my job is.

What is your favorite place in the world ?

I like both Rome, Italy and Monterey, California they're both beautiful and romantic places.

What is your least favorite household chore ?

House cleaning
