A potential Republican presidential candidate from Florida is going all out in the next week and a half to help the GOP flip the Senate, planning campaign appearances and running TV commercials far from the Sunshine State.
U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., announced on Thursday he will be hitting the airwaves in two states holding competitive Senate races as the GOP looks to wrest control from the Democrats.
Using his Reclaim America PAC, Rubio is running a TV ad in Iowa supporting Joni Ernst, the Republican looking to win the seat held by retiring U.S. Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa.
Polls show Gardner with a slight lead over Udall. In 2012, Colorado was one of three states that held caucuses and primaries on Feb. 7 after Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Florida and Nevada had their say.
These ads are up when it counts the most, Rubio emailed supporters on Thursday. Joni and Cory are in tight races against their well- funded opponents and we need to make sure that voters know they are the best individuals to represent them in the United States Senate.
