Happy Birthday, Frank Artiles.
How you got to the Florida Senate is exactly how you left. With your racist big mouth.
To be fair, Artiles had an assist during the SD 40 Democratic primary from a small group of racists who call the Democratic Party home, but Artiles really let loose during the general election.
I guess Frankie thought he was the Teflon Don, given the fact that Republicans control Tallahassee. But what his dismissal/resignation tells me is that Republicans rightfully were tired of him.
Artiles, along with a group of extremist Jews, Democrat and Republican, painted Dwight Bullard as an anti-Semitic terrorist, because of a trip he took.
As it turns out, Artiles, and I'm sure those same extremist Jews, Democrat and Republican, are the racists.
Now that there will be a special election, and there is the possibility that Dwight Bullard will run again, just watch the attacks start all over.
Pay particular attention to the attacks from Jewish Democrats.
Make no mistake about it. No one can beat Dwight Bullard in a primary. No one.
The only hope they have of stopping him is to convince him not to run.
Dredge up a female Latina. A male Latino. A black man. A black woman. A white man. A white woman. It does not matter.
If Dwight Bullard decides to run, he WILL win the primary.
From the looks of Facebook last night, someone pissed Bullard off:
"Dear Democratic and Republican Parties ... I am a BLACK man, college educated, progressive, empathetic, compassionate, dedicated to my community and interested in making the world better. There are over 5 million people, men and women equally melanated, and just as diverse. I tell you this as a reminder that we are not your f------ pawns to be moved around a chess board for your benefit. We can be whatever and whoever we choose to be, in or out of your party and we don't need your damn permission. So please stop pandering for our votes if you're not going to treat us as equals. Fall back, put your spreadsheets and polls away and talk to us like human beings."
Well alrighty, then!
He told somebody!
SD 40 is a minority access seat, for sure. It is heavily Hispanic, for sure. It also has a sizable African American population.
The pastors who came out against Artiles will support Bullard. The activists who came out against Artiles will support Bullard. The black community that came out against Artiles will support Bullard. The Hispanic community that came out against Artiles will support Bullard.
The rallying cry to rid the Senate of Artiles was about racism. Good luck bringing that message to the black voters in SD 40, especially after they learn that Democratic leadership boxed Bullard out.
Will they ever learn? Why even have the election, at this rate? Just hand the seat back to Republicans!
Damn!
I will close this with a reminder to Jeff Clemens, in his search for a Hispanic candidate: HE wouldn't have gotten into the Florida Senate had he not run in a district designated as a minority access seat.
In case people have forgotten, he beat Mack Bernard by 17 votes after a court battle.
If he had played by the rules he is now trying to push, HE wouldn't be in the Florida Senate.
Marinate on that ...
