In their television and online ads, the two Republican candidates for Senate District 25 both tout themselves as the fiscal conservative who fights to lower taxes.
But in 2009, both Carl Domino and Ellyn Bogdanoff voted for the state budget with more than $2 billion in increased taxes and fees. The Democratic opponent who will face one of them, Kelly Skidmore, voted against it.
Each takes a bit of a different approach in justifying their vote and other issues as they make their case for being tough on taxes.
