CNN is reporting that George Zimmerman, who shot and killed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin on Feb. 26, will be charged in the teen's death.
A special prosecutor in the Trayvon Martin shooting case is expected to announce a decision within the next four hours regarding whether she will file charges against George Zimmerman, the network reported.
The report did not state what charges Zimmerman would face.
Zimmerman has claimed he acted in self-defense under the state's Stand Your Ground law.
An announcement from the special prosecutor is expected at 6 p.m. from Jacksonville.
The cable news report comes a day after attorneys claiming to represent Zimmerman said they had been unable to contact him.
Hours after the attorneys addressed the media, Angela Corey, the special prosecutor named by Gov. Rick Scott to head the investigation, announced that a decision on charging Zimmerman could be expected within 72 hours.
