While Quinnipiac University released a poll on Wednesday showing Donald Trump ahead in Florida, two new polls find Hillary Clinton ahead in the Sunshine State.

A Marist poll taken for NBC News and the Wall Street Journal released on Friday has Clinton ahead in Florida. Clinton takes 44 percent while Trump garners 37 percent.

When minor party candidates are included in the mix, Clinton continues to remain in the lead though Trump does narrow the gap. Clinton gets 41 percent while Trump pulls 36 percent. Gary Johnson, the former New Mexico governor running on the Libertarian line takes 7 percent followed by Green Party candidate Dr. Jill Stein with 4 percent.

The poll shows both major party candidates are unpopular in Florida. Clinton is seen as unfavorable by 58 percent of those surveyed while 37 percent view her favorably. Trump is seen as unfavorable by 61 percent while 34 percent see him in a favorable light

The Marist poll also shows the U.S. Senate race closer than Quinnipiac had it. Republican Marco Rubio takes 47 percent while Democrat Patrick Murphy garners 44 percent.

The poll of 871 registered voters in Florida was taken from July 5-July 11 and had a margin of error of +/- 3.3 percent.

Greenberg Quinlan Roster Research, a firm tied to the Democrats, released a poll of Florida voters on Thursday which also had Clinton ahead, taking 45 percent with Trump pulling 40 percent and Johnson claiming 6 percent.

This poll showed a major gender gap in Florida with Clinton ahead of Trump with female voters by 18 percent while the Republican was ahead with male voters by 11 percent.

Clinton and Trump both commanded the support of 70 percent of their party base but she lead 46 percent to 31 percent with voters outside the major parties. ‘

The poll of 1,100 registered voters in Florida was taken from July 6-July 10 and had a margin of error of +/- 4.1 percent.
