Republican congressman Gus Bilirakis looks set to win another term. He has brought in almost $835,000 with almost $209,000 of that coming from PACs. As of June 30, he had more than $366,000 on hand.
League of United Latin-American Citizens activist Anita de Palma takes on attorney Phil Hindahl for the Democratic nomination. Having raised more than $2,000 and having kicked in more than $11,000 of her own money to the campaign, de Palma had less than $200 in the bank on June 30. Hindahl is running a very passive campaign -- apparently not raising money or setting up a campaign Web site.
