Democratic congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz has raised more than $514,000 from individuals so far and more than $785,000 in PAC money. With almost $876,000 in her war chest, Wasserman-Schultz appears headed for another term.
There are three Republicans battling to take on Wasserman-Schultz: restaurant owner Karen Harrington, Broward County businessman Robert Lowry and local activist Donna Milo are all running in the Republican primary. Harrington has done the best bringing in money but still significantly trails the incumbent. Harrington had more than $38,000 on hand, but she has also put $86,000 of her own money into the campaign -- and still has more than $99,000 in debts.
The race has also attracted two independent candidates and one write-in candidate.
