WASHINGTON -- Every sulfurous belch from the molten interior of the volcanic Trump phenomenon injures the chances of a Republican presidency. After Donald Trump finishes plastering a snarling face on conservatism, any Republican nominee will face a dauntingly steep climb to reach even the paltry numbers that doomed Mitt Romney.

On Tuesday, the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) showcased a poll from Rasmussen Reports which finds 46 percent of likely voters across the nation think former U.S. Sec. of State Hillary Clinton “should suspend her campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination until all of the legal questions about her use of the private e-mail server are resolved.”
U.S. Alan Grayson, D-Fla., released a Web video on Wednesday, his second of the week, as he continues his bid to replace U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., in the Senate.
On Tuesday, U.S. Rep. Carlos Curbelo, R-Fla., reiterated his opposition to President Barack Obama’s deal with Iran over that nation’s nuclear program.

Judge Terry Lewis told a congressional redistricting hearing Tuesday that, given the House-Senate failure to come up with a new map, he will ask Florida Supreme Court justices what they want him to do next.
