A Fox News Poll, conducted by Anderson Robbins Research and Shaw & Company Research and unveiled late on Thursday, revealed that voters do not want former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin entering the presidential race. Palin will be stumping in Iowa, which holds the first caucus, and New Hampshire, home of the first presidential primary, over the Labor Day holiday weekend.

GOP Tweaks Tongue-Tied Debbie Wasserman Shultz Over 'Zero' Jobs Report

Apparently unable to spin the bad news on the jobs front, Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Shultz was called out today by Republicans.
Just five days ago, Wasserman Shultz boasted to the Sun-Sentinel: "We're no longer bleeding jobs. We've been adding jobs in the private sector for 17 straight months. We are on the upswing ever since President Obama took office.
But with today's Department of Labor announcement that the U.S. economy added zero jobs in August -- the first time that's happened since 1945 -- DWS & Co. had nothing to say.

Dangerous Tropical Depression in Gulf, Threatening Louisiana

It's barely moving right now, but a tropical depression in the Gulf of Mexico off Louisiana has shut down almost 6 percent of the regions oil production, according to the National Hurricane Center.
The system, which virtually popped up out of nowhere, is located at about 210 miles (338 kilometers) southwest of the Mississippi River mouth, the Miami-based center said today in an advisory issued before 8 a.m. EST Friday. The depression may become a tropical storm later in the day before reaching Louisiana over the weekend.
