The argument is being made in some quarters that, however unsuccessful Barack Obama's domestic policies have been, his record in foreign policy has been successful. But when you examine the claims of success, they seem a bit peculiar.

Mitt Romney Gets Backing of Florida Congressman Jeff Miller

Former Gov. Mitt Romney picked up the endorsement of a leading Florida Republican for his presidential bid on Friday when U.S. Rep. Jeff Miller, who represents the Panhandle in Congress, announced that he is backing Romney's efforts.

I am proud to have Congressman Millers support, Romney said in a statement. He is a committed public servant both to the state of Florida and our countrys veterans and I will work with leaders like him to revitalize the state.

Senate Panel Considers Raising Standards for Juvenile Justice Education

Some of the same accountability measures that were introduced in public K-12 schools over the last decade could be coming to the state's juvenile justice facilities.

Under a proposed law (SPB 7016) that will be considered Wednesday in a Senate education committee, school districts and the private companies involved in educating youth in the state's detention centers, residential treatment facilities and prevention programs would be subjected to a three-tier performance rating, from "failing" to "high performance."

Connie Mack Attacks Bill Nelson and his 'Liberal Record'

As he readies to enter the race to take on Democrat incumbent U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson, Florida Republican U.S. Rep. Connie Mack called Nelson out on Friday in an open letter.

Yesterday in an interview you said you have a lot of work to do," wrote Mack. You couldnt be more right. You do indeed have a lot of work to do to explain to the people of Florida why you have turned your back on them time after time and instead stood in lockstep support with President Obamas failed liberal schemes.
