Rick Scott: Pam Bondi is 'Defending Florida's Constitution' on Gay Marriage

With the ACLU wanting Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi to overturn the amendment to Florida's Constitution recognizing only traditional marriage in the Sunshine State, Gov. Rick Scott said he supports his fellow Cabinet member.

The attorney general is defending Floridas Constitution, which is her duty, Scott said on Tuesday. This is a matter that will be decided by the courts. Whatever the eventual outcome is from the courts, Florida will of course abide with it.

Charlie Crist Narrowly Leads Rick Scott in 3 Polls

Three polls released on Tuesday find former Gov. Charlie Crist ahead of Gov. Rick Scott by narrow margins.

The latest WFLA poll taken by Survey USA shows Republican Scott bouncing back against Democratic rival Crist.

In last weeks WFLA poll, Crist led 46 percent while Scott took 40 percent and Libertarian Adrian Wyllie took 8 percent. In the latest WFLA poll released on Tuesday, Crist drops to 44 percent while Scott moves up to 42 percent and Wyllie falls back to 6 percent.
