Barack Obama's Anti-Israel Legacy

Many of my colleagues tell me their biggest beef with the Obama administration is the doomed Affordable Care Act.

It's not mine.

For me, the most egregious failure of this administration has been President Obama's determination at every turn to pull the rug out from under the state of Israel.

The Hill, one of the most reputable newspapers in Washington, reports this afternoon Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi is a hair's breadth away from going to work for Donald Trump's White House. 

We thought "retired" Justice James E.C. Perry had served his last day on the Florida Supreme Court last Friday, Dec. 30. We thought it was Justice Alan Lawson's turn. Apparently not.

So Charlie Crist waits hours, not even days after being sworn in as a member of Congress on Tuesday, to show up for his first fundraising effort -- and the Tampa Bay Times tells us Charlie will make his way back to Florida for a couple of fundraising soirees, Jan. 16 and 17 in his honor in Sarasota and Miami Beach.

Floridians with any kind of interest in politics aren't likely to forget crazy 2016. 

Former state Sen. Dwight Bullard, in and out of the running for Florida Democratic Party chair since the election ended, is very much in the race again. Bullard was sworn in as state committeeman Tuesday evening in Gadsden County, more than 300 miles from his Miami-Dade family home. He is replacing Gadsden's Sam Palmer, who wanted to step aside to make way for the social studies teacher at Coral Reef Senior High School in South Florida.

Visit Florida will emerge from the budget process next year a slimmer creature than it is today, I've resigned myself to that. But I hope it won't mean sacrificing Florida tourism's considerable muscle.

It offends me to see good people lied about and dragged through the mud. 

When the dust settles, the biggest loser in Election 2016 could be the Clinton Foundation.
