When Congress returns the week of April 12 following recess, both the House and Senate have unfinished business to attend to. For the House, they must begin their work on the federal budget. Looking back at past years, this budget process would have been well underway. However, D.C.
Following a mostly health care-dominated week on Capitol Hill, both the House and Senate left D.C. with unfinished work in their chambers. The House has in its chambers a bill from the Senate to fully fund the Federal Aviation Administration. This vital government agency hasnt been completely funded since 2007.
This week in Congress was once again dominated by health care as all eyes switched chambers to the Senate of the United States.
Health care continues to dominate most of the conversation on Capitol Hill this week following the U.S. House passage of the Senate Health Care bill Sunday night.
WASHINGTON, DC -- Virtually all of the oxygen in Washington, DC went to congressional action on health care, and the Sunshine State played a rather dominate role in this legislative process.
First, Florida received major TV airtime when the U.S. Senate was debating the health care bill last December. It was then that the "gator special" deal was born. That deal, negotiated by Sen.
