In some prominent corners of the liberal media, the grousing has begun about President Obama's habit of hitting the golf course during crises without any concern for looking cavalier. Everyone knows he joyfully hit the links at Martha's Vineyard five minutes after a nationally televised address expressing his disgust at the horrific execution of American journalist James Foley by ISIS extremists in Syria. He played nine rounds during this most recent vacation in a year filled with vacations.

Congressional Democrats Rack Up Big Wins in South Florida Primaries

Three Democrats representing South Florida in Congress cruised to easy wins in the primaries on Tuesday.

U.S. Rep. Alcee Hastings, D-Fla. easily bested two candidates in the primary. With 99.6 percent of the votes counted, Hastings was far ahead with 79 percent of the vote. Jean Enright, who sits on the Palm Beach County Port Commission, stood in distant second with 14.4 percent while former heavyweight boxing contender Jameel McCline was in single digits with 6.6 percent.

Joe Garcia and Carlos Curbelo Get Ready to Rumble in South Florida

Touting the support of former Gov. Jeb Bush and former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, on Tuesday night Miami-Dade School Board member Carlos Curbelo won the Republican primary to challenge U.S. Rep. Joe Garcia, D-Fla., in November. Garcia ranks as one of the top Republican targets in the nation.

Alan Grayson Gets Carol Platt as GOP Opponent in November

Carol Platt, from the Osceola County Realtors Association, won the Republican primary on Tuesday night to challenge U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Fla.

With all votes in, Platt, who had the backing of former Gov. Jeb Bush, took 54.6 percent in the primary. Navy veteran Jorge Bonilla came in a distant second with 29.7 percent, and businessman Peter Vivaldi took third with 15.6 percent of the vote.
