The Seminole Tribe of Florida has filed a legal challenge against controversial new state water-quality standards, arguing they don't adequately take into account the amount of fish and other wildlife eaten by tribal members.

Despite the party divide, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and Florida Gov. Rick Scott may have at least one thing in common: a pesky little bug which thrives in the humid Florida weather, transmitting Florida’s four-letter word: Zika.

The countdown is on to the Aug. 30 primary, but Florida voters won’t be confined to solely voting that Tuesday -- in fact, they’ll have a full two weeks of early voting in some counties statewide.

Judicial Watch today released 296 pages of State Department records, of which 44 email exchanges were not previously turned over to the State Department, bringing the known total to date to 171 of new Clinton emails (not part of the 55,000 pages of emails that Clinton turned over to the State Department).  

Florida State University (FSU) will play a key part as the Navy looks to create an all electric ship.

On Monday, the Navy announced the Office of Naval Research is sending a $35 million grant to FSU’s  Center for Advanced Power Systems over the next five years to help build the all electric ship. Other schools also awarded grants on this project are the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mississippi State University, Purdue University, the University of South Carolina, the University of Texas at Austin and Virginia Tech.

Evan McMullin, who launched a presidential bid on Monday, insists he will compete in a number of key states, including Florida, despite his late start.
