A wide-ranging bill that would rein in local governments' ability to increase taxes narrowly passed the House Ways & Means Committee on Wednesday.

The Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on the Environment and Natural Resources, chaired by Sen. Rob Bradley, R-Fleming Island, on Wednesday passed Senate Bill 10, legislation to reduce harmful discharges from Lake Okeechobee and further other critical water resource protection.

As Republicans offer legislation to repeal and replace the healthcare law championed by former President Barack Obama, the Florida delegation is starting to weigh in on the proposal.
