Since December 2010, unemployment in Florida has dropped faster than all other states, thanks to robust partnerships between government and businesses, according to the governor.

Citizens Property Insurance Corp. is bringing in the top human resources pro from American Express to oversee employee personnel matters considered wildly portrayed by the media the past couple of months.

The Citizens board of governors tabbed Charles D. Johnson on Friday during their meeting at the Peabody Hotel in Orlando to be vice president of Human Capital Management.

Johnson is expected to begin work on Monday.
