Russell Adler -- Scott Rothstein Partner and Charlie Crist Bundler -- Sentenced to 2 1/2 Years
Russell Adler, third partner in the Fort Lauderdale law firm Rothstein Rosenfeldt Adler, ground zero for the $1.4 billion Ponzi scheme that destroyed dozens of investors' lives, was sentenced to 2 1/2 years in federal prison Friday.
Last week he was disbarred for life.

Democrats' Payback Blog Site 'Not Getting Squeezed' Fizzles on First Day

Nan Rich Preparing to Qualify in Tallahassee Tuesday
Former state Sen. Nan Rich said she was in the Florida gubernatorial race for the long haul, and sure enough, she announced Friday she will file her paperwork to qualify on Tuesday in Tallahassee.
Her statement promised that she and her supporters will be at the Florida Department of State, Division of Elections, at 10 a.m. The division is in the R.A. Gray Building, 500 South Bronough St.

Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad signed a bill into law May 31 that could ultimately shut down greyhound racing in his state.
The vehicle for its demise is casinos. The new law allows casinos to buy out dog racing.

Sunshine Health Rolling Out Florida's Medicaid, Child Welfare Programs to New Members
The launch of Floridas new Medicaid programs, the Statewide Managed Medical Assistance (MMA) and Child Welfare (CW) programs, continued Monday, with roll-outs in Regions 5, 6 and 8. The programs cover 14 Florida counties including Pasco, Pinellas and Hillsborough.
