You Heard That Right: OxiClean Spokesman Anthony Sullivan Eyeing Bill Young's Seat

Perhaps one of the most random names for potential nominees to take over U.S. Rep. Bill Young's seat in Congress is Anthony Sullivan's. While the name itself may not ring a bell, this commercial should:

Sullivan was involved in the effort to build "The Lens" design for a new St. Petersburg pier and explained his involvement in the project gave him new insight to what voters really want out of their leaders.

The last year has been a wonderful learning experience. What Ive learned is that the people are yearning for new leaders with a different style of leadership," he said.

Sullivan said he's been approached by many who think he should make a run for Young's seat.

"In the last 48 hours, several people have approached me people I respect and from all walks of life and said, Sully, you need to run,'" he said.So, in the coming weeks, I will take a hard look at running for Mr. Youngs seat in Congress, said Sullivan, who recently bought a home in St. Petersburg.

Sullivan is perhaps most famous for creating the "SmartMop" but he's also pitched several other products on the Home Shopping Network. Peter Schorsch of SaintPetersblog explained Sullivan could likely run as a Democrat or an Independent and could self-finance his own campaign.
