Would it Be 'Vile' to Call Debbie Wasserman Schultz a Flip-Flopper?
Poor Debbie Wasserman Schultz just can't get her talking points straight. Still obsessed with Rep. Allen West and his "vile" characterization of her, the hyper-partisan Florida Democrat offered two different and not totally coherent responses to a question about Medicare today.
First, DWS told MSNBC:
Its not surprising that given the pressure that the Republicans are facing I mean, they are defending ending Medicare as we know it. Congressman West represents thousands of senior citizens, which was what I was pointing out and they would face significant increased costs due to the Republicans Medicare plan and the 'cut, cap, and balance' bill.
When pressed by Andrea Mitchell to actually answer the question, Wasserman Schultz opined:
"Well, what we need to do is make sure we can solve this big problem with the big solution. And Democrats have put all of our sacred cows on the table including Medicare, including Social Security
Spend? Cut? Who knows? For Democrats, whining about Allen West's vocabulary, and making a mountain out of a political molehill to raise campaign cash, is so much easier than all this complicated policy stuff.
