Workers' Comp Dispensing Physicians Bill on a Wild Ride

Here's something cute:

Remember the bill that would impose a cap on how much workers' comp doctors could charge their patients for repackaged drugs they dispense? That bogus bill originating with the insurance industry was supposed to save the state money. When a growing number of senators didn't buy the trumped-up savings as advertised, the bill got scooped into a House bill. Anything to try to save it.

But listen to this:

The House made it part of the same bill that REDUCES caps on excessive profits for insurers. Why? Because price caps are way outdated, say legislators, and besides, they laugh in the face of free-market principles. Read more here.

Apparently, what's good for the insurance industry is ALSO good for the insurance industry.

If this bill passes, tell the Big Insurance guys to belly up, they're buying.
