Will Muschamp Chosen to Replace Urban Meyer as Gators Coach

CBS Sports is reporting that Will Muschamp, who served as defensive coordinator at the University of Texas, LSU, Auburn University and had a stint on the coaching staff of the Miami Dolphins, will be announced as the next head coach of the University of Florida Gators on Tuesday.

Muschamp is a defensive guru -- a bit different than some of the offensive wizards who have led the Gators over the years, namely Steve Spurrier and Urban Meyer. He has never served as a head coach before.

Muschamp knows the SEC. Besides his time at Auburn and LSU, he played football at the University of Georgia in the early '90s under Bulldog coach Ray Goff.
