Well, Crist Can't Be Any Worse as a Senate Candidate than Caroline Kennedy ...

Gov. Charlie Crist has named Josh Isay of SDK Knickerbocker as a new media consultant for his independent campaign for the U.S. Senate.

Politico referred to Isay as a major Democratic fixer but he has helped independents in the past, including Mayor Michael Bloomberg and U.S. Sen. Joe Lieberman of Connecticut. Still, Isays client list is very heavily Democratic and not always centrist (for example, Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer is a Jerry Nadler prot.

Isay does have some experience in Florida -- U.S. Rep. Suzanne Kosmas was a client -- but he has mostly focused on New York. While Isay certainly has had some success, he has also had some staggering defeats -- namely, Caroline Kennedys dreadfully managed bid to get appointed to the U.S. Senate seat Hillary Clinton gave up to end up as secretary of state.
