Two State Senators Back Adam Hasner for U.S. Senate

Former state House Majority Leader Adam Hasner, now running in the Republican primary to challenge Democratic U.S. Sen Bill Nelson in 2012, unveiled the endorsements of two state senators who were part of the House leadership with him -- Alan Hays, R-Umatilla, and Anitere Flores, R-Miami.

"Alan and Anitere are mainstream conservatives who have strong records of fighting for educational choice, lower taxes, and limited government," said Hasner. "They represent two very different parts of Florida and exemplify how principled conservative ideals can thrive wherever there are people willing to fight for them. I'm proud to have them supporting our campaign."

"Adam Hasner is someone Florida voters can trust to stand firm for what he believes in, even when the going gets tough," said Flores. "He is someone that is committed to broadening the reach of the Republican Party without compromising on the bedrock principles that separate us from the Democrats. When others in this race were telling conservatives that the only way we could beat the Democrats was to join them, Adam said 'no,' and stood on principle."

"Adam is the only conservative in this race that I trust to stand up to Bill Nelson and the Obama agenda," saidHays. "Those of us who know Adam and served with him know he is a no-nonsense conservative and a fighter. He's exactly the kind of candidate our party needs if we're going to be successful in taking back the Senate in 2012."
