Two Past RPOF Leaders Back Holly Benson for AG
Former Agency for Health Care Administration Secretary Holly Benson announced on Tuesday morning that her bid for the Republican nomination for attorney general was being backed by two former Republican Party of Florida leaders: former Chairman Tom Slade and former Chairwoman and current Indian River County Tax Collector Carole Jean Jordan.
I support Holly Benson in her candidacy for Florida attorney general, said Jordan, who headed up the RPOF from 2003 to 2007. Holly is the best choice for attorney general. She has the experience needed to carry on General McCollums lawsuit against Obamacare and is committed to fighting to keep our free-market economy and conservative principles alive."
I believe Holly Benson is the clear choice for the next attorney general of our Sunshine State, said Slade, who led the RPOF from 1992 to 2000. Holly is a proven conservative who supports the Arizona immigration law and will push for similar measures here in Florida. She also understands what it takes to lead an agency and will do so with the best interest of Floridians in mind.
Carole Jean and Tom worked tirelessly to build our Republican Party, said Benson, who is taking on Lt. Gov. Jeff Kottkamp and former Assistant State Attorney Pam Bondi in the primary.I am honored to have their support, and I will continue their fight for our conservative values.
