Turns Out Bradford Sheriff Was for Scott Maddox and is Now Behind Adam Putnam

Both U.S. Rep. Adam Putnam and former Tallahassee Mayor Scott Maddox, who are both running for commissioner of agriculture and consumer services, claimed to have the backing of Bradford County Sheriff Gordon Smith. It turns out Smith was backing Maddox and is now backing Putnam.

Many months ago, before I had the opportunity to meet with Congressman Adam Putnam, I verbally expressed to Scott Maddox that I was supportive, said Smith in a statement sent out by the Putnam team. However, after meeting with Adam to discuss his vision for Floridas future, I was proud to sign an endorsement form and join 36 other sheriffs from the state of Florida to officially endorse him as our candidate and the best candidate to be Floridas next commissioner of agriculture and consumer services.
