Touring Madison County, Ander Crenshaw Blasts Obama on Economy
While U.S. Rep. Ander Crenshaw did not face a challenge in the Republican primary on Tuesday, he did spend the day touring farms and speaking to the Madison County Farm Bureau about taxes and the size and scope of the federal government. He offered harsh words for President Barack Obamas handling of the economy.
Florida farms are active and vibrant businesses whose owners and employees understand the economic policies that are needed to make their businesses thrive, and they are nowhere to be found in the Obama administrations job-killing agenda, said Crenshaw. With double-digit unemployment, $13 trillion in debt, a $1.4 trillion deficit, and a budget-busting new health-care law, they need policies that will promote solid job and economic growth. That comes from tax cuts, the elimination of wasteful government spending and stifling regulation, and repealing the new health-care law with reforms that will provide commonsense, affordable health care.
Washington roadblocks -- big spending, burdensome regulation, and high taxes -- are standing in the way of a strong and bright economic future, added Crenshaw, who faces independent congressional candidate Troy Stanley in November. My focus remains on pushing them aside so our free market can do its work.
