Tom Rooney: 'We Start a New Era in Washington'

U.S. Rep. Tom Rooney is back in Washington -- and looking forward to being part of the new Republican majority.

Serving the people of Floridas 16th district for a second term is a great honor, said Rooney on Wednesday. I am humbled by this opportunity to help lead our nation during difficult times.

We have a tough road ahead of us millions of Americans are out of work, our national debt is staggering, and we continue to face daily threats from around the globe, added Rooney. "I am optimistic that as we start a new era in Washington, D.C., we will act swiftly to make the hard decisions and address these challenges. I believe we are up to the task.
