Tom Lee's Back
Former state Senate President Tom Lee is back in the public eye and thats not exactly good news for his fellow Republicans. Last night, Lee told the Hillsborough County League of Women Voters that the party is at an all-time low and that Gov. Crist will have a tough time rebuilding party morale. Lee also took issue with the Republicans naming stateRep. Chris Dorworth as Florida House Speaker for the 2015-2016 legislative session this far in advance, stating that legislators needed more experience before being tapped for leadership in future terms.
Lee has been keeping a low profile since losing to Alex Sink in the state CFO race back in 2006 and its puzzling why he is resurfacing now and he remains the only Republican to lose a state cabinet race this decade. Besides the speech last night, Lee has also been talking to the media in recent days about why he thinks the RPOF should not release credit card statements to the public and on what the way legislators try to gain positive attention in election years.
