Tod Mowery Bows Out in CD 18

St. Lucie County Commissioner Tod Mowery pulled the plug on his bid to replace U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy, D-Fla. on Monday. Mowery had been running in the crowded Republican primary. 

“Every year we each anticipate or dread the upcoming seasons, or in the case of Florida our lack thereof,” Mowery announced on Monday. “Speaking of seasons, I need to humbly announce that I am entering a new one, which requires that I close the door on my congressional race. I have a real peace about it and I am so thankful for the tremendous support and encouragement many of you have shown throughout this journey. May God bless each one of you and may God bless our incredible country.”
