Tim Tebow Shoved Aside for Davis, Brady Quinn and ... Brett Favre?
Is this the end of the road for Tim Tebow?
While there was speculation the former Gator legend could end up back in the National Football League (NFL) with the St. Louis Rams, it looks like that team went a different route. With starting QB Sam Bradford down, the Rams are desperate for quarterbacks since veteran backup Kellen Clemens hasnt exactly set the world on fire during his eight years in the NFL.
The Rams were rumored to be talking to Tebow this week but, on Thursday, Jason La Canfora over at CBS Sports reported the team never even called him. One QB the Rams did talk to was the legendary Brett Favre who hasnt played since 2010 when he was with the Minnesota Vikings. Favre showed no interest so the Rams signed free agents Austin Davis and journeyman Brady Quinn.
Davis showed some potential when he was at Southern Mississippi University while Quinn has bounced around the NFL with the Rams being his fifth team in his seven years in the NFL. Not a good sign for Tebow and his fans that the Rams were more interested in Favre, Davis and Quinn that the Gator icon.
