Tim Pawlenty Goes Back on the Attack of Mitt Romney over Health Care

After whiffing on attacking former Gov. Mitt Romney of Massachusetts on health care in Monday nights debate, former Gov. Tim Pawlenty attacked the front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination over the issue on Friday.

If you didn't catch it this week, I tweeted, on seizing debate opportunity re: health care: Me 0, Mitt 1. On doing health-care reform the right way as governor: Me 1, Mitt 0. And last night I was on Fox News with Sean Hannity to discuss the clear differences I have with Obamacare and some of my primary opponents, Pawlenty wrote to supporters on Friday morning. I understand what needs to be done, and we will get the job done. I've been campaigning for president for barely three weeks now, and our message is resonating: We need leaders with results, not just rhetoric.

My economic plan to create jobs and balance the budget was applauded by respected economists; we're earning key endorsements from conservative leaders like South Carolina Congressman Joe Wilson and former Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue, and our grass-roots teams on the ground in the pivotal early states of Iowa and New Hampshire continue to grow, added Pawlenty. I am confident that I will be the Republican nominee, and that we can defeat President Obama next year.
