A new national poll finds Americans have mixed thoughts on teachers' unions. Rasmussen Reports released a poll on Tuesday which finds 40 percent of Americans see teachers' unions as favorable but 45 percent see them as unfavorable.
The poll also finds that opponents of teachers' unions have more deeply held views. Almost a quarter of those surveyed -- 24 percent -- see teachers' unions as very unfavorable while only 13 percent see them as very favorable.
The survey of 1,000 American adults was taken from Sept. 11-12 and had a margin of error of +/- 3 percent.
