TEA Party Releases Financial Records, Ready for Depositions
Florida TEA Party Chairman Fred O'Neal today released the party's financial records and announced plans to participate in upcoming court depositions.
Orlando attorney Wade Vose is attempting to establish links between U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Orlando, and the TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Party. O'Neal, also an attorney, called Vose's effort "bizarre."
"Since no links exist, we'd like to conduct the depositions the week after next and we've already cleared the time with thejudge assigned to the existing case for a hearing to authorize the procedure that we will provide all the information requested," O'Neal said at a news conference.
The TEA Party said it has collected more than $350,000 in cash and in-kind donations since January. TEA Party candidate Peg Dunmire, running in Grayson's 8th Congressional District, reportedly has collected, pledged or spent more than $300,000 to date in her separate campaign account.
