Suzanne Kosmas Brings in $335,000 in Second Quarter
Money is flowing into a congressional race in Central Florida where U.S. Rep. Suzanne Kosmas, a freshman Democrat, looks to hold off whoever emerges from a crowded field of Republican candidates.
A few hours after Republican challenger Craig Miller revealed that he had raised $272,000 in the second quarter of 2010, Kosmas announced on Wednesday that she had reeled in more than $335,000 in that period andnow has more than $1.25 million in the bank to take on a challenge from former Winter Springs Mayor Paul Partyka for the Democratic nomination and whoever wins the Republican primary on Aug. 24.
I have worked hard to stand up for the priorities and values of Central Floridians, and I am honored by the support they have continued to show for my efforts to create jobs, hold Washington accountable, and improve the quality of life in our communities, said Kosmas.
