
SunRail Battle Makes Final Turn in Central Florida

The Florida Department of Transportation's chief got an earful Tuesday from both proponents and opponents of the planned SunRail commuter train project.
Corporate supporters and grass-roots critics squared off in Orange, Seminole, Volusia and Osceola counties, where FDOT Secretary Ananth Prasad held a series of public meetings. Let's just say they agreed to disagree.
The rhetorical battle is a prelude to Gov. Rick Scott's decision on the controversial rail line. An announcement is scheduled by Friday.
