Step Aside, George Soros -- MoveOn Milks a New Cash Cow (Rick Scott)

Flailing at "right-wing extremists," the left-wing extremists at MoveOn.org are using Gov. Rick Scott to raise money.

In an e-mail campaign, lightly customized for Florida, the George Soros organization is soliciting $5 monthly donations, ostensibly to "fight Rick Scott."

"With so much at stake, we've launched a major effort to bring MoveOn's grassroots muscle and Internet organizing to state capitols all across the country," the solicitation reads.

"This is one of the biggest expansions we've ever taken on. Can you help give us the ongoing resources we need by making a donation of $5 per month?It's easy, and you can cancel at any time."

The Florida Democratic Party is on the same page of the fundraising handbook.

In a separate but similar pitch for cash, the party is using the issue of "lost" transition e-mails with this appeal:

"Help us hold this governor accountable. Donate today to the Rick Scott E-mail Recovery Fund to help the Florida Democratic Party as we continue to investigate the case of the missing e-mails."
