State Dems: Rick Scott's Business Practices Too 'Shady' for Florida
Gov. Rick Scott and his career as a businessman are just too shady for Florida, according to a new ad that dropped from the Florida Democratic Party on Friday.
The ad, titled "Price," follows a familiar line of attack from the FDP, which has been highly critical of Scott's time as CEO of a health care corporation. In 1997, while Scott was CEO, the company was part of a fraud investigation which ultimately resulted in a $2 billion fine.
"Price" features various news clips discussing the lawsuit, one of which says the company was specifically training its executives to "basically steal from the government."
Scott, the ad says, walked away with millions.
According to Charlie Crist's Communications Director Brendan Gilfillian,Scott's past has everything to do with the future of the Sunshine State.
Rick Scotts pattern of looking out for himself and his friends, dodging accountability, and leaving seniors and middle class families to foot the bill has continued in Tallahassee," he said.
