SSN Will Live Blog GOP 2012 Candidates as they Debate in Orlando

Its a good day for boxing references. On Sept. 22, 1927, Gene Tunney defeated Jack Dempsey to keep the heavyweight title in the famous long count match. On Sept. 22, 1932, Ingemar Johansson -- the Swedish boxer who upset Floyd Patterson to win the heavyweight championship in 1959 -- was born.

Sunshine State News has a ringside seat on Thursday night when nine Republican presidential hopefuls take off the gloves to clash at a debate in Orlando. The event is part of the Republican Party of Floridas (RPOF) Presidency 5 event. Think of it as an undercard for the main event on Saturday when the candidates will clash in a straw poll.
