Space Florida to Hold a Mind Meld in Orlando July 6
A "best ideas" forum will convene July 6 at the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport.
Sponsored by Space Florida, in partnership with regional economic development organizations, the forum will share "concepts for solutions to the economic issues impacting the region as a result of the end of NASAs Space Shuttle program," organizers said.
Ideas compiled at the event will be submitted to the Federal Task Force on Space Industry Workforce and Economic Development. The event, which will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., is free and open to the public.
Businesses, residents and organizations with ideas to help create jobs and diversify the regions economy have been invited to participate, and a limited number of 10-minute presentation slots remain.
Additional requests to present at the forum will be determined according to availability and will be vetted to avoid duplications. Those wishing to present ideas must submit an online request, including a brief concept paper, in order to be considered. Guidelines and more information are available here.
