Sorry, U.K. Christians, You Have No Right to Wear Crosses to Work

We might speak the same language, but when it comes to social conservatism, don't even.

Get this:

Members of Parliament are about to fight a case at the European Court of Human Rights in which two British women want their right established to display the cross at work.

Did you get what I'm saying here? These British ministers will argue against the women.

According to David Barrett, home affairs correspondent of The Telegraph, it is the first time that the British government has been forced to state whether it backs the right of Christians to wear the symbol at work.

A document apparently seen by The Sunday Telegraph reveals that the ministers' argument is this: Because it is not a requirement of the Christian faith, employers can ban the wearing of the cross and fire workers who insist on doing so on the spot.

Sometimes the Old Sod seems a lot farther away than mere miles.
