Social Conservative John Stemberger Backs Rick Scott

Social conservative leader John Stemberger, the chairman of the Florida Family Action PAC, endorsed Republican gubernatorial candidate Rick Scott on Tuesday, citing Scotts commitment to defending the unborn and standing for traditional marriage.

This governors election is critical for the direction of life, marriage and family issues in Florida, said Stemberger who backed Attorney General Bill McCollum over Scott in the Republican primary. We support Rick Scott because he has communicated his personal commitment to pro-life and pro-marriage principles. Alex Sink represents the radical, liberal policies that are out of touch with Floridas families. We appreciate Ricks stated positions for the rights of the unborn and for families, and we look forward to working with him when he is governor.
