SBA Administrator Karen Mills is in Jacksonville today to visit A. Harold and Associates where owner Andy Harold received two federal Recovery Act loans and created 10 new jobs.
"Thanks to fees eliminated by the Recovery Act, Harold saved more than $33,000 in waived loan costs," an SBA news release stated. Harold is a service-disabled veteran and current reservist who runs a technology, education, engineering, training and management service for both public and private sectors.
Under Recovery Act loan enhancements, SBA said it has supported nearly 70,000 recovery loans, providing more than $30 billion in capital to assist small businesses.
